Gigondas is an appellation in the Southern Rhone that offers the most bang for your buck. While there have been 100 Pt Parker wines sourced from Gigondas, you can still find great values from the appellation at a very reasonable price. Parker has referred to Gigondas as “Baby Châteauneuf du Pape”. The wine I am about to offer you is an instance of exactly that. The 2018 Caves de Gigondas L'Hallali Grande Reserve can be had well under $30. You can’t even find Neuf at that price point, and if you do, it’s not of similar quality to this wine. 
This Gigondas is a blend of 75% Grenache, 5% Mourvedre, 25% Syrah, and 5% Cinsault, aged in a combination of new and used oak. Full-bodied & generous, it’s round & supple, with no hard edges to hamper the easy flow of the red raspberries & black cherries across the palate. Enjoy over the next decade or so.
