Ingrid Torrontes 2022
Torrontes is an aromatic white wine that originated in Argentina. Torrontes pairs well with Asian and Indian cuisine due to its sweet floral aromas of rose petals and flavors of white peach and lemon zest. The wine smells sweet, but is made in a dry style. I used to think the best Torrontes hailed from Argentina, as it is their noble white grape. That is until I tried the Ingrid Torrontes, it is on a whole new level of quality.
Tasting Notes: This barrel-fermented white follows this approach and shows a nose of subtle aromas of white flowers, peach and wet stones. It is a mineral-textured bottling, offering herbs and honey alongside citrus fruit. Excellent acidity lifts the palate and keeps it vivid into the lemony finish.
