100% Merlot souced from old vines located on the western part of Pomerol gowing on flinty top soil compacted on the "dross", a hard layer limiting rooting which gives Pomerol wines their specific style. Sustianable farming practices. Wine is aged 12 to 18 Months in French Barriques only 33% new. Bottled @ the winery (Mis en boutille)
Tasting Notes: A rich, bold, and concentrated Bordeaux from an all-time great vintage. Aromas of black fruit, tobacco, vlint, and dark spices burt on the palate all wrapped around full ,velvety tannins. Chateau Grange-Neuve is the kind of classic, stately, well-balanced Pomerol that makes the appelation the most desirable on the right bank! This is an assertive wine that makes a big impression. Serve with a hearty meal now and for 20 years after release.
